SchoolSim
A downloadable school
🏫 Build and Run Your Own School
Take charge of a small educational institution and turn it into a thriving, profitable school.
Hire staff, build classrooms, manage students — and make tough decisions along the way.
🔧 Core Gameplay
You begin with a barebones school and a dream: to educate students and stay out of debt.
To function, your school needs just the basics:
-
📚 One classroom with a qualified teacher
-
🚽 A bathroom
-
🍽️ A canteen with a cook
-
🧹 A janitor’s room with a janitor
-
🧑💼 A principal’s office
Even with no walls and a scattered layout, it's a school — if it teaches, it counts.
🧱 Expand and Improve
As your school grows, you’ll unlock and build:
-
Specialized rooms (computer labs, sports halls)
-
Equipment upgrades
-
Better infrastructure
-
More complex educational paths
Walls are optional — just like in The Sims, you can toggle their visibility and focus on the action inside.
📈 Simulation Depth
The simulation tracks:
-
Student count and grades
-
Budget and staff expenses
-
Cleanliness, popularity, demand/supply
-
School level, based on achievements and academic performance
Every student contributes to your school's reputation. Keep them smart, safe, and satisfied.
🎯 Emergent Scenarios
Expect the unexpected:
-
Fights in the hallway
-
Overcrowded classrooms
-
Staff burnout
-
Government contracts that bring new students — and new problems
💬 From the Developer
I don’t want this to be just another conveyor-belt simulator where students are treated like parts to be processed as efficiently as possible.
That mindset doesn’t fit the idea of what a school is meant to be.
This game is a social simulation at its core — though yes, it’s primarily an economic strategy, you won’t be micromanaging each student’s every step. The AI handles their behavior, but your decisions shape their environment, their goals, and their outcomes.
Some students thrive in humanities, others in math and science — you’ll need to adjust class types accordingly. If a student has a bad fit with a teacher, you might need to let that teacher go to preserve your school’s harmony and income.
At some point, you’ll face a choice:
-
Maximize profits by accepting everyone
-
Or raise standards with entrance exams, attracting smarter students — and boosting your school’s long-term reputation
You might even refuse a wealthy troublemaker whose bullying could drive away your best-performing students, hurting your prestige.
Will you impose strict uniforms and tight discipline, or foster creativity and freedom at the cost of chaos?
I want this game to be replayable, rich in outcomes, and most of all — fun without getting lost in micromanagement.
